About

One regulation, known properly.

AI Governance International takes US companies through the EU AI Act and builds the evidence that demonstrates compliance. Led by Bernardino Trevilla Langer, AIGP, from Boston.

Why the focus is narrow

AI regulation is spreading across dozens of jurisdictions. A firm can track all of it shallowly or know one regime properly. We chose the second.

The EU AI Act is the most demanding AI regulation in force, it reaches companies far outside the Union, and its obligations phase in through to 2028. For a US company selling into Europe it is usually the binding constraint on market access.

Depth also lets us work at the level of the engineering. A classification your engineers cannot implement is not much use, and a logging architecture designed without reference to Art. 12 tends to need rebuilding.

Who you will work with

Bernardino Trevilla Langer

Founder & Director

Holds the AI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

AI Governance International is led by Bernardino Trevilla Langer, who works directly on every engagement. Clients are not sold by a principal and delivered by juniors.

The AIGP is the IAPP's certification for AI governance practitioners, covering AI law and policy, risk management, and the governance of AI systems across their lifecycle. It is held by individuals rather than organisations.

Where an engagement needs capacity or specialist expertise beyond one person, we bring in named collaborators and tell you who they are. We would rather decline work than staff it thinly.

What we are not

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Our work is regulatory and technical advisory, and it is designed to be reviewed by your counsel — we expect that review and build the deliverables for it.

We are not a notified body. We do not perform conformity assessment and we do not issue CE marking. Those are statutory functions. What we do is prepare the documentation, controls and evidence those processes draw on, so that when you reach them you are ready.

We are not a software vendor. We partner with Latitude.so on evidence infrastructure, but we are not resellers and take no position on your tooling beyond whether it satisfies the obligation.

Based in Boston. Working across both markets.

Most engagements run remotely across US and European time zones.
